Icebreaker Brunch at King Claw 🦞✨

This month The Creative Growth Club hosted one of our most flavorful meetups yet — our Icebreaker Brunch at King Claw in Charleston! 🍽️✨

Eight foodie and lifestyle creators came together for an afternoon filled with bold seafood, bright ideas, and content magic. Our goal? To create a cozy, content-forward space where local creatives could connect, shoot, and actually feel supported — and this brunch delivered all that and more.

🍤 The Vibe

Set inside the vibrant King Claw restaurant, the vibe was casual yet creative. We kicked things off by providing shared, family-style appetizers like crispy calamari & hush puppies — the perfect way to break the ice and start conversations, and let creators capture their shots, reels, and stories in between bites and laughs. The focus was on enjoying the moment — and capturing the magic.

The highlight? We shared not 1 but 2 of King Claw’s crab boil with noodles — a flavorful twist on the classic seafood boil that had everyone talking (and filming) and everyone received thier own specialty drink from the many different menu options. Between cracking crab legs and slurping noodles, content was flowing just as much as the conversation. The setup made it easy for creators to shoot their content, support one another, and truly enjoy the experience without pressure.

📸 The Content

This was a content-required event, and the creators understood the assignment. From tableside TikToks to aesthetic flatlays, the energy was high and the cameras were rolling. The lighting, the plating, the personality — it was all there, and we loved seeing each creator’s unique take on the experience.

🎯 The Creator Challenge

To spice things up, we hosted a Creator Challenge where attendees had the chance to win a Gift card to king claw. The challenge encouraged intentional posting, engaging captions, and creative storytelling — and let’s just say, picking a winner was not easy 👀

Beyond the food and content, the real heart of the brunch was the connection. From first-time meetups to new creative collabs forming on the spot, this event reminded us that small, intentional gatherings can spark big creative growth.
